26 Tighten the fasteners that connect the air duct to the MAF sensor. Use HEX No.H5. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 5 Nm torque. 27 Treat the mass air flow sensor connector. Use dielectric grease. 28 Attach the mass air flow sensor connector. 29 Clean the air filter cover and housing. CLUB.AUTODOC.CO.UK 9–14
Step 2: Taking Part Air Intake System To Find MAF Sensor. The air intake system consists of tubes made of plastic or metal. By removing this part, you will see a MAF sensor located between the engine and the filter. For instance, the Ford cars often have this part sitting behind the filter.
Location: Chico, Ca. Fuel filter or dying FPDM would be my guess. 2004 - 2008 Ford F150 - Mass Airflow Sensor Issue symptoms - I searched the forum and really did not find too much that dealt with the issue I've been having. Truck has been running great, (230,000 miles) and after a nice long drive from NC to FL the throttle response has fallen off.

The mass airflow sensor (commonly abbreviated to MAF) is one of the most important engine management sensors. A bad mass airflow sensor can leave your Chevy Silverado's engine running rough, or even inoperable. A MAF sensor measures the density of the air entering the intake manifold. It passes this information onto your Silverado's ECU.
Here are the most common symptoms of a bad or failing MAF sensor: Idle Issues – Your Celica may run rich or lean when idling, or it may also idle erratically. A rich condition is when there is not enough air relative to the fuel in the air/fuel mixture. The exhaust color is usually darker when running rich. A lean condition is when there is
Since the MAF sensor is responsible for measuring air flow into the engine, they have a lot of air passing through them. In fact, more than 9000 liters of air can flow through the engine for every liter of fuel used. That’s a lot of air! And with that comes the potential for a lot of contamination. Dust, dirt and other debris can all get into
