Heat is more for a chill experience (unless you go in a night heat 5 chase) Hot Pursuit is more action packed, but a lot more casual-like (weapons, simplistic physics). Depends on what you prefer. In my eyes, Hot Pursuit is far more polished, well made, and stylistically consistent than Rivals, which for me makes a more enjoyable, replayable and memorable experience.
