The Nether is the second dimension in Minecraft, and can be accessed via the main Overworld using a Nether Portal. It is an extremely inhospitable dimension located completely underground, and has My nether portal spawned me under a huge lake of lava. I’ve tried digging up but there’s just lava. I’ve dug straight for a couple of minutes and then up but still lava. I’ve also tried to change the location of my nether portal but it still takes me to the one underground. If you are careful to manually build the portals so that they match co-ordinates exactly (bearing in mind the 1:8 ratio between Nether and Overworld) then they will not interfere with each other. They can be 1 block apart if you want. Pretty sure 1.16.2 isnt out yet mate, and if you meant 1.2 yeah no shit 1.2 doesnt include the nether. Also, it may be one of your plugins. OR maybe even incorrect nether portal dimensions. Either way, I think it would've been more appropriate if you searched "How to make a nether portal in Minecraft 1.16.1" instead of creating a thread. Minecraft community on reddit. not related but instead of using flint and steel (or fire charges) to light the portal, use lava burning crafting tables (they catch fire but don't burn away). use observers to quickly update the lava causing it to flow faster. then use a dispenser w/ water to turn off the portal GlYkyxi.
